Wii Fit
Plus Makes Exercising Fun!
You have to admit the Nintendo folks have got
something pretty cool here. The Wii Fit actually makes good
on it's claim to make exercising... you ready for this?
Fun! Yep, Fun. That's not all though. The use of
the Wii Fit can actually change
your agility and coordination. It does it through the
use of the game technology in the Wii Balance Board, included
in the Wii Fit Plus package, which monitors your
slightest shifts in balance and pressure. This data
flows through the Wii gaming processor to do everything from
manage your weight to allow realistic sport game experiences
like skiing and surfing. Even traditional exercises
like aerobics and yoga are made enjoyable with Wii Fit.
In all there are around 40 different activities you can try
out.
Specifically the Wii Fit can improve your balance which is the
primary driver of good posture. If your posture gets out of
whack this puts unbalanced pressure on your spine and
vertebra. But that is really saying it a bit dull because the
balance games are actually a lot of fun. You may end up
competing with your friends and family to see who can make the most
progress. One of the best aspects of doing your exercises on
the Wii is the ability to do a variety of tasks right in your own
living room. The Wii
Fit gaming system keeps track of all your exercises
through a system of fit credits. You'll chart your progress
from your initial goals such as your initial BMI (body mass index)
with graphs and calendars. You can even track your outside
exercises on the activity logs. The Wii will do this for the
whole family up to 8 people.
